Energy Performance Contracting

Energy Performance Contracting allows for the Town and Schools to dramatically improve the learning and working environments of our students, teachers, and staff. The savings derived from the improvement to energy-using equipment pays for the financing of the improvements. More information about the project is listed below:

Reconstruction and Repair - School & Town Facility Improvements

After conducting a town-wide facility condition assessment, the Town has put together a list of projects to improve the quality and safety of our schools and facilities. The program, if approved, would take five-to-ten years to complete but will improve, among other projects, roofs, windows, building mechanics, and the safety of the schools through additional hardening. Water Pollution Control Facility Reconstruction and Repair

Upgrades to the water pollution control facility are paid for through state grants and aid and the recently implemented sewer use fee. The purpose for the upgrades was initiated by the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for various notices of violations. In order to correct these State concerns, significant upgrades are necessary. More information about the project is listed below:
